Our club hosted the third round of the SCPF PDI Division 1 League competition last night. The competition was on Zoom only and, in addition to inviting the 8 clubs in division 1 (6 of which attended), the SCPF also asked us to invite other clubs from the lower divisions who wanted to get a sense of the standard of Division 1 PDI images. As a result we had representatives from 7 additional clubs with a total of around 33 people attending. Sadly, only 12 of our own club members attended but I hope those who did enjoyed the evening.
Mark Wright ran the program and the judge was Paul Bradley from the Niton club on the Isle of Wight. Paul did a great job on timing and also followed the SCPF scoring guidance extremely well. With 64 top class images, he had a really tough task which he tackled with aplomb.
The good news is that Bracknell came third, just half a point behind Farnborough and therefore, after three rounds, we are now lying third of the 8 clubs in the league.
Gladys scored one of the only five 10s awarded on the night and, overall, the Bracknell images scored steadily – averaging 8.25 for each.
Well done to all and thanks to Mark and Roxanne for organizing the evening.
All the individual scores for each round and the images can be viewed in the summary page for the season’s SCPF competitions in our Member’s Area.
