The last round of the SCPF PDI Division 1

It was a very nervous night since the outcome was only resolved at 9:15 when our last two images were scored at numbers 59 and 60 in the running order. That made it clear we were going to be safe from relegation from Division 1. Moreover, those two last scores (Mark Wycherley at 8.0 and Steve Hubbard at 9.0 ) not only made us safe but they also put us in first place on the night!

As you can see everyone did well on a night of generally high scores with only 1 6.0, 1 6.5 and 1 7.0 awarded by Tony Oliver. Bracknell’s final placing in Division 1 is fifth and it looks to me as if Steyning and Winchester will be relegated for 22-23. The season was very tight and you can see that we came first of the eight clubs twice and last and seventh once each – quite a large swing!

New Forest won the division by a wide margin.

Again congratulations to all the authors whose images – all judged 8 times – made this success possible – well done to you all!!
