27th January – Inspire, Capture, Print – Neil Cave

Neil gave an entertaining talk about his life in the photographic industry and how his company, Timeline Events was formed.

He reminded us of the old film processing labs and made the contentious statement that all photographers need to learn photography using film cameras!

He finished with some advice on optimising printer settings and, bearing in mind the constant changes in digital media, asserted that paper is the only true archive for our pictures and only then if we use printers, inks and paper with good archival properties.
