The results of the 2022 Bracknell Forest Photo Competition

Yesterday Rose Wicks, Data and Communications Officer of Bracknell Forest Council , released this press release about the results of the Bracknell Forest photo competition 2022.

The 2022 competition had a theme of capturing Bracknell Forest’s mood-boosting places. There were 133  mood-boosting photos entered by 44 photographers. All the finalists will have their images featured as part of an online exhibition later this winter.

The winning images

The winner was Ray Hewitt from Wildridings for his fantastic photo of a heron taking flight, called ‘Lift off at Mill Pond’. The judges scored Ray’s photo highly for its overall impact and technical ability. The image nicely symbolises how being close to nature can help to boost residents’ moods.

Paul Hendley served as one of three judges for this competition and says “there was some really good work among the 130+ entries we received and we would love to get some of these folks to join the local camera club.  It also shows just how many great opportunities we have for making top quality images in our local area despite the supposed lack of “exciting landscapes”.”

Paul is Secretary of Bracknell Camera Club and is a Southern Counties Photographic Federation judge.
