8th March 2021 – Nine Clubs Competition – Rosemary Wilman Hon FRPS, AFIAP, ABPE, APAGB
This is our long-running annual competition among eight other local clubs.
This year Maidenhead won and we came second. There were some very fine images and Rosemary’s judging was excellent, I liked her thoughtful approach and explanations of her thinking. The evening attracted an audience of 84 to this meeting, perhaps a record for our Zoom meetings, with many coming from the other clubs – one of the benefits of Zoom meetings.

Those who attended this Monday evening’s competition saw Bracknell just beaten in to second place in the “Bracknell Nines” competition which is the one external competition that we arrange and host each year.

(Where ‘h’ indicates an image held back)
Rosemary Wilman Hon FRPS, AFIAP, ABPE, APAGB judged the event very efficiently and held back 12 images to be awarded 9.5s or 10s.
The final result depended on these held back image scores and we finished just half a point behind Maidenhead. Graham Codd’s “Black and gold” again scored a 10.
