Practical Print Mounting Workshop on 13th September 2022

Richard Reynolds will be running this workshop at the OLC on Tuesday 13th September. He will be helped  from one or two other committee members. Richard will be demonstrating and explaining the techniques used in order to mount your prints. The aim is to help you mount your images to display in the club print competitions.

This is a practical demonstration and you are encouraged to bring along an image and some mount board. This will enable you to have your image mounted and ready for the first print competition being held on the 26th September.

Richard will show the technique on anything from 6” x 4” to the competition maximum of 50cm x 40cm.

It would be helpful if you bring the following with you:
1) Mount board
There are a number of sources to purchase this. Try the  The Range (in Bracknell) or All About Framing (in High Wycombe).

We suggest White or Ivory and these will be cut to size on the night. Or, ready cut to 50×40 cm can be pre-ordered from All about Framing.

2)  A sheet of thin white (or whatever colour as it won’t be seen) card, The Range also sell this.

We will supply any other materials including scrap mountboards to practice on!

You will leave the workshop with your own mounted print ready for the print competition on the 26th September.

We are limited to 8 places on this workshop, on a first come basis. Members please email our chairman David  to secure your place.
