The guest speaker on Monday was John Gooday who shared with us his experience, thoughts and adventures in taking wildlife images using a combination of flash and continuous lighting equipment.
John shared the benefit of his experience across a number of years being a professional wildlife photographer. He was generous in sharing his knowledge, humorous anecdotes and entertained us in his talk.
He showed a number of techniques in order to take enhanced wildlife images using both flash and continuous lighting. His clear passion, dedication and the planning required in order to capture these amazing images was clear during his talk. He also discussed how he looks after the welfare of animals using a number of techniques including placing the equipment in situ several days before the shoot.
From the reaction of members I felt everyone thoroughly enjoyed his presentation.
