DarKnights on that bridge again in February 2023

On Wednesday 8th February a group from the DarKnights SIG met on the footbridge over the “busy” Coral Reef junction on the A322. This second visit was again organised by the SIG leader Gareth Fish.

In true DarKnights tradition the evening was cold with sub-zero temperatures but with clear skies. I arrived 30 minutes late (getting lost in the Forest Park Estate despite Gareth’s directions…) and already the tripods were out and cameras pointing along the road.  This road links the M4 and the M3 and as well as rush hour traffic we had ambulances, trucks and multiple visits of road gritters.

Here are a few of the images:

Andy Myatt has now processed  the 50 shots that he did at 20 seconds exposure. he asks us to please excuse the smeary lens.

And finally here’s Gareth’s image that he took as research for this field trip.  It’s four images, layered in PS, lighten blend mode, with masked out stationary cars.

Thank you Gareth for organising and for all the attending members of the DarKnights making it a such a friendly (but very cold) evening of photography.

Let’s do it again soon – Gareth?
