Meeting Notes

1st February 2021 – “The Peak District in Black & White” – Ian Daisley

Last night we had a very interesting talk in which Ian showed us his excellent Black & White photography of the Peak District, territory familiar to me. Like all good landscape photographers he goes to the same places time and again trying to perfect the subject by refining the composition or by taking advantage of ideal weather conditions.

Ian has produced a book containing many of the images we saw last night and you can purchase it from his website.

This evening’s talk was another example of the benefits of Zoom as we are unlikely to ever be able to have him come to the OLC.

Ian’s website is here.

A couple of our guests from the evening sent in these comments

“Just a quick email to say many thanks for organising tonight’s talk ‘“The Peak District in Black & White” with Ian Daisley’. Really fine photographs of the Peaks and interesting commentary.” John Bonney via email

“I joined this last night, just amazing. Thank you to Bracknell Photography Club for having me.” Rosie McMonagle via Facebook
